Council History

THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 gives a general right of access to all types of recorded information held by public authorities and places a number of obligations on them. Every public authority is required to adopt and maintain a publication scheme setting out the classes of information it holds and how the public can gain access to it.

Classes of information available under The Parish Council Model Scheme adopted by Kingsnorth Parish Council are as follows and will be made available, either for inspection at a Parish Council meeting, or as a photocopy, free-of-charge, on receiving a written request to the Parish Clerk at the above address or e-mail: clerk@kingsnorthparishcouncil.gov.uk

3. PERIODIC ELECTORAL REVIEW
Information relating to the last Periodic Electoral Review of the Council's area. Information relating to the latest boundary review of the Council's area.

4. EMPLOYMENT PRACTICE AND PROCEDURE
Terms & conditions of employment; job descriptions (excluding any information classified as personal data under the Data Protection Act 1998)

5. PLANNING DOCUMENTS
The Council's responses to planning applications (excluding any information that is available from the local planning and/or highways authority)

6. AUDIT AND ACCOUNTS
Annual return form; annual statutory report by internal and external auditor; receipt and payment books, receipt books of all kinds, bank statements from all accounts; precept request; VAT records. (The above all limited to the last financial year and excluding all commercially sensitive information) financial standing orders and regulations; assets register; safety inspection records for playground; register of members' allowances.
